Royal Star Fish Report

11-27-2007
Royal Star

Not the big late bonanza hit like yesterday, but we kept the ball rolling in the right direction with a nice day on big yellowfin with a couple of mid deuces in the mix. The weather continues to bless our efforts and everything else is in order. There continues to be plenty of sign around and it appears that we are only getting a slight piece of the potential this zone has to offer. Honestly, it gives one the impression that any day could line up to be the one as the showing of fish right now is obviously only the tip of the iceberg. We will see. In the meantime we are not in any position to gripe as we are presently catching quantities of trophy yellowfin that we would sacrifice plenty for on many less fortunate voyages. That doesn't mean however that we aren't almost always thinking it could be better. So we will see tomorrow as we are lined up to make the most of any and all oportunities that come our way. As we have mentioned so many times in the past related to this style trophy yellowfin action - preparation is the key to success. In that respect, these anglers are coming through in flying colors.

Other than a spending a few hours on the ridge in fruitless search of wahoo, we continued the trek southward in beautiful, flat calm weather that is forecast to remain as such for at least two more days.Yes. As most of you who follow our reports have learned, flat calm, or at least resonably calm weather is an all important component in the equation of big fish success offshore. As such, we are heading to the grounds with nothing but...... Read More
