Well it's back to the weather story that didn't completely shut down yesterday's action, but definitely rained on the parade. They made of day of it, thankfully finding a mid day birdschool that resulted in very good action on ballslapper grade dorado, but the bigger yellowfin were again fickle and difficult to set up on in twenty knots of breeze and the corresponding sea condition. They did have one Hail Mary stop in the late afternoon for a handful of sixty to eighty pound yellowfin which was about the average for all the guys working the lower zone yesterday. Not exactly a barn burner but enough action to make for a good day of fishing. Now the plan is fairly clear as the call of the north is motivating the next move up the line. Capt. Sims will certainly dedicate at least a portion of tomorrow in search of wahoo and other exotics on the ridge before continuing the run north to stretch out fishing time through the final day. The beach move should also make for a much better ride traveling up the line that will be thoroughly appreciated by everyone on board. Before we start considering the ride home however there is plenty of fishing to come, and with a little luck, a strong finish is in waiting ahead.
