Just what the doctored ordered today with a welcome reprieve from the rugged outside weather and very good, consistent action on beautiful 18 - 22# yellowtail. In addition to the fantastic catching, the surface show was nothing short of spectacular with bird schools and acres of crashing yellowtail putting on a remarkable show that introduced some and reminded others of the wholly unique, incredible potential the marvelous coast of Baja California has to offer. With an ugly weather forecast on the outside and the fishing we enjoyed at the island yesterday, we have no intention of leaving this slice of heaven for at least one more day.

More or less the only real excitement yesterday came in the form of a handful of short stops on twelve to fifteen pound yellowfin tuna and challenging sea conditions that were on the increase as the day progressed. I can say with certainty that we were in fantastic water conditions, ripe for a showing on bluefin, but for whatever reason, they were nowhere to be found.
