Hello everyone;

Weather today was perfect for flying a kite. We had 12 to 15 knots of wind out of the northwest, with a moderate sea, and clear skies.

Our morning started around 07:00 hours, trolling for Wahoo. With the Wahoo playing hard to get, Roy made the decision to put the anchor down. We had some action on Yellowfin in the 12 to 15 pound range, but this is not what Roy was looking for, so we pulled the anchor and started our search once again. The search didn't take long. We dropped the anchor, and the Yellows started biting. These were not the 12 to 18 pound fish we started the trip with, these were jumbo's. The first fish to hit the deck was a 40 pound moss-back. But this fish was not along. More 25 to 45 pound fish continue to come over the rail. But as the bite was hot and heavy, there would be heavy losses for many angler, trying to fish 30 and 40 pound test.

Once the bite slowed down, we pulled the anchor and tried our luck once again at trolling, but with no luck. We put the anchor down once again and the Yellowfin made a brief showing, before the Yellowtail moved them out. It was a excellent day on excellent grade Yellowtail. We will try to make a tank of Mackerel tonight, and hope the Yellowtail will give us some action tonight. So with that note, wish us luck and we will keep you posted on our upcoming events. The R/p crew.

Hello everyone; Weather today was great for traveling south, but if you were going home, it might be an up and down ride. Clear skies, with a stiff wind out of the northwest at 15 to 18 knots. This was our first day of looking for fish, and we did make a stop at San Benito's Island and Cedros Island. Our first stop was at San Benito's Island. We made a few stops with nothing to show for it, so...... Read More
