The Salmon fishing was slower today with only a few fish reported today. There were some commercial boats who had 2-4 Salmon. There was a few fish caught near 3 Trees and one of South Rock in 60 feet of water. The Rockcod fishing was good for the anglers who worked from South Rock to Davenport in 65-95 feet of water. The Halibut bite is getting a little better with some nice 20 pound fish being weighed in. The Halibut are being caught in front of the Harbor in 45-75 feet of water and up near 5 mile beach. The water was nice all day long on the inside but the Albacore waters did have some wind on it. The few commercial boats who were working the Albacore caught 5-8 fish around 37'01/123'07 and 36'55/123'02. The wind was up all day and small boats don't want to be out there. The wind looks like it will be up for a few more days on the Albacore grounds.

The fishing for Albacore was decent for some and good for others today. I fished at 37'00/123'01 to 37'00/122'06 and ended the day with 10 fish and lost a few on bait and troll. The best thing I have ever seen was witness by another boat when a 350 Lb. Swordfish skyrocketed out of the air tail walking! There are Swordfish around I may start targeting them instead of Albacore. There was a good bite first thing in the morning....... Read More
