Spicer Lake's ramp is now out of the water and the dock is only partially in the lake. If you have 4 wheel drive you can still launch a small boat but beware of all the rocks just below the surface as the lake has dropped. For those that are able to launch there are still some nice fish to be caught. Trolllers should try using Apex, Needlefish, Wedding Rings, and Glitter Bugs tipped with a nightcrawler behind a small dodger or a flasher/nightcrawler combo. If you are trolling around the lake try the 20' to 25' depth. Fly casters have done well if they are in a float or pontoon boat. Try nymphs, adams, mayflies, wooly buggers, hoppers, and caddis flies.Bank fishermen have had a tough time catching fish as the fish are deeper.

The North Fork of The Stanislaus has been productive for those willing to work for their fish. Lure casters should try Panther Martin spinners, and Rapalas. Bait casters should try split-shotting nightcrawlers, crickets, Gulp Eggs, floating Power Eggs, and Gulp Nightcrawlers. Fly casters have success using nymphs, hoppers, mayflies, woolly buggers, caddis flies, mosquitoes, and stimulators.

Lake Alpine has been producing some nice fish for the fly fishermen lately as there was a caddis hatch this last week. Try using caddis flies, nymphs, bead head woolly buggers, hoppers, mayflies, mosquitoes, and adams. Trollers should try using flashers with a nightcrawler trailer. Bait casters should try the new Gulp Power Bait, floating Power Eggs, inflated nightcrawlers on a 30" to 36" leader. Lure casters should try Panther Martin spinners, Kastmasters, and Rapalas.

White Pines is still producing some limits of trout early morning and late evening. Try using floating Power Eggs, Gulp Power Bait, and nightcrawler on a 30" to 36" leader and a cast-a-bubble float.

Mosquito Lake has been kicking out some nice size fish this last week. Bait casters try using floating Power Eggs, Gulp Power Bait, nightcrawlers, and crickets on a 30" to 36" leader and a cast-a-bubble. Lure casters try Panther Martin spinners, and Rooster Tails. Fly casters should try hoppers, woolly buggers, nymphs, mayflies, caddis, and mosquitoes.
