Lake Alpine has picked up this past week due to recent trout plants. Trollers should try using Apex, Needlefish, and Glitter Bugs tipped with a nightcrawler behind a small dodger or a flasher/ nightcrawler combo. The fish are around the 20' to 25' foot depth. If you are fishing from a boat and not trolling try around the dam and use nightcrawlers, Gulp Power Bait, or floating Power Eggs on a 25" to 30" leader. Bait casters should try inflated nightcrawlers, Gulp Power Bait, and floating Power Eggs. Lure casters should try Kastmasters, Rapalas, and Panther Martin spinners. Fly casters should try bead head woolly buggers, nymphs, hoppers, and mayflies.

The North Fork of the Stanislaus River is still tough due to warm weather. Fishermen that have been willing to hike and work for their fish have still been doing well. Fly fishermen have been dooing well fishining the river. Fly casters should try hoppers, nymphs, mayflies, stimulators, adams, and woolly buggers.

The fishing at Spicer has been good for the trollers as the fish are still deep due to the warm weather. Trollers should try Apex, Needlefish, Wedding Rings, and Glitter Bugs tipped with a nightcrawler behind a small dodger or a flasher/nightcrawler combo. Start at 55' to 65'.

White Pines has been producing fish early in the morning. As the lake warms up during the day fishing gets tough.
