Hello,

I just returned from La Paz. I drove down. The road is in excellent shape. There are only a couple spots where you leave the pavement and go along a dirt road adjacent to the paved road. One is just north of La Paz it is about 5 miles long. The other is just south of Loreto about 2 miles. All of the military check points are staffed and operating. Gas is plentiful and we did not see any shortages.

I am happy to report that the city of La Paz is about 90% back to normal. Many trees were blown down in the neighborhoods. The local people have cleaned their properties and placed the trees and shrubs that were blown down in neat piles at the street edge. The Government is busy picking them up.

All of the restaurants, that we frequent, were up and running. I went into several grocery stores and saw no signs of shortages of anything. The Ferry between Mainland and La Paz is running every day bringing in supplies. The La Paz airport has been running and gets daily flights from Tijuana and mainland cities.

Our docks have been repaired and we built a new fish cleaning station and BBQ area at the dock.

Our team is ready to get back into action!

Many of you have expressed the desire to help with the recovery process. As you can image, our captains haven't had clients to take out until recently and therefore have lost wages and tips. If you would like to a send a card or donation to our team of captains send it to me at;

Baja Pirates
P.O. Box 3866
La Habra, Ca. 90632.

If you want it to go to a particular captain I will make sure it gets to them. I know they will appreciate hearing from you.
