Mike Keating brought his Spirit of Adventure home to H&M Landing August 30 after a four-day trip with 26 anglers.
Bob Campbell of Phoenix won first place for an 82.7-pound tuna. "He put up a real good fight," said Bob, "for 45 minutes. He dang near spooled me. "
Bob said he used a sardine on a 4/0 Mustad hook and a rental outfit to do the job.
John Benifeld of Banning was second, for a 72-pounder, and John Bauer of Chandler, AZ won third place, for a 69-pound yellowfin tuna.
