As expected, trout fishing for trollers or bank anglers should be on the improve this week. Flat lining minnow imitations such as Rapalas, or Yo-Zuri minnows and spoons like Kastmasters and Krocodiles should be the key to success.
Catfish are still coming in despite the sub-freezing air temps in the morning and evening hours. The best locations have been Cachuma Bay abd Harvey's Cove. Cut mackerel accounted for most of the whiskerfish again. Bass fishing is still very tough. Only a handful were reported last week. All other species have been on the slow side.
