Fish Report for 11-19-2013
Trout fishing was great at Lake Cachuma
11-19-2013
Cachuma Lake Staff
Limit style trout fishing was the norm for shore anglers near the buoy line for the first few days after the plant. Powerbait as well as a lot of other lures took fish to 6 lbs. The fish have now spread out and anglers trolling from the surface to 2 colors are getting limits all over the lake.
Catfish are still biting well in the backs of coves. They are biting cut mackerel, shrimp and dough bait. The bass fishing is still tough with only a few incidental smallmouth catches reported last week. Bow fishing for Carp has been fair to good. They are in the same locations as the catfish. All other species were absent from the count.
