Catfish provided the best action at Lake Cachuma this week
10-2-2013
Cachuma Lake Staff
It was all catfish again this week at Lake Cachuma. Activity was led by Cheyenne Morris who weighed in a 22 lb. limit topped by an 11 lb. brute. Ms. Morris was fishing in Harvey's cove and used cut mackerel and nightcrawlers for her limit. Other hot spots were Clark's and Cachuma Bay.
The top water Bass bite has slowed. Anglers who did the best used jigs, texas rigs and drop shot plastics. Bow fishing for Carp was good for single fish feeding on the bank. The best time and location to fish for Carp was in the late afternoon on the west end of the lake. All other species slow at this time.
