West Walker is closed right now but new fishing regulations go into effect on March 1

The West is closed to fishing for the winter, however, beginning March 1, 2014 there will be new regulations in place for the section from the bridge on Hwy 395 to Topaz Lake, during the winter months (the off season for regular fishing season) this section will be open to artificial flies or lures only, barbless hooks, zero fish limit.

for Sunday, October 27th, 2013East Walker River Sceirine Ranch: The Sceirine Ranch is fishing excellent
Hunewill Pond: Huniwell pond fished good for some this week and not as well for others
Bridgeport Reservoir: The water is low at Bridgeport Reservoir so the best fishing is by the dam
Kirman Lake: Got some better reports from Kirman this week some anglers reported catching 10 to 15 fish
Twin Lakes (Bridgeport): The Twins have been fishing well this past week with lots of smaller fish
West Walker River (Section 2): The West Walker River is still fishing well though the dry fly action is waning.
Virginia Lakes: A lot of nice fish around 6 or 7 lbs. being caught at Virginia Lakes
