Wayne Bisbee
Hello Everybody,
It's time! The weather is beautiful, the fish are chompin' and the 2013 Los Cabos Offshore Tournament is underway. With 85 teams already signed up, the "little" Bisbees is all grown up. Final registration begins Friday at 3 p.m. at our host hotel, the Wyndham Resort, at the marina patio bar (next to the lighthouse in downtown Cabo San Lucas). The mandatory captains' meeting will immediately follow registration.
Long viewed as a warm-up for the Black & Blue, the 2013 Los Cabos Offshore has grown into a major sport-fishing event, serving to kick off the fall tournament season. The weather forecast looks great and reports from the local charter fleet all point to a very hot bite.
Fishing starts at 8 a.m. Saturday morning and concludes Sunday. The awards party will be held at the Baja Cantina Beach restaurant at Medano Beach. Teams will be targeting blue and black marlin, dorado and tuna, vying for hundreds of thousands in prize money.
Teams can still register on-line or update team information at bisbees.com.
See you where the fish are!
