Very slow for numbers of trips this past week and for the most part, that was attributed to inclement weather conditions that included 3 port closure days. The rains came, the wind blew, the moon was full and it all came about the same time that had a very serious impact on the fishing throughout the area. When the week was all said and done the total trips for offshore fishing was 7 fishing days that resulted in 3 blue marlin, (250 lb.s or less) 1 sailfish and 32 dorado, (up to 30 lbs.). The inshore super pangas had a single fishing day that produced 10 corvina.

Mazatlan Climate: Mixed clouds and sunshine and still a chance for occasional showers. Temps from 73 nights to 86 daytime highs.

Sea Conditions: Much improved following port closures for 3 days. Temps holding stable at 83 degrees from inshore to offshore.

Best Fishing Area: The better fishing continues to be out to the southwest of the Marina El Cid, starting at about 15-17 miles or so.

Best Bait/Lure: Rigged baits working well for the dorado, sailfish and even an occasional blue marlin but the bigger artificials working best for the blue marlin.

Bait Supply: Remains good for both, fresh rigging baits and live bait.
