Hi Gang, We departed yesterday on another 8-day trip sponsored by Fisherman's Warehouse. We fished offshore on our way down today with overall poor results. A handful of yellowfin tuna strikes throughout the day and that was about it. The weather was good today with no more than 10 knots of wind. We have a very nice group of anglers on board this trip with some being seasoned veterans and a few first timers. We even have John Morris from Corpus Cristi Texas on board. I fished with John on my first ever long-range fishing trip on the Qualifier 105 with Captain Don Sansome when I was 17 years old. John was the second captain on the trip and I have not seen him since then. To make it even more interesting, John and I both grew up in Ventura California....small world. We also have Eric Kaai from Fisherman's Warehouse as our host. Eric gave away a bunch of swag on the first night. Fisherman's Warehouse t-shirts, hats, hooks, iron, fluorocarbon and everyone was stoked to get a bunch of free stuff. Patrick Lawrence is our chef this trip and has been putting out meals that are nothing short of spectacular. Life is good on the Intrepid. We will be targeting yellowtail tomorrow, wish us luck. Bill Cavanaugh and the Intrepid Team.
We have a couple of messages with this report. Scott says "Hi Peggy, did you remember to bring in the trash cans?" Eric says "Happy 16th Birthday Shawn"
