The fishing for Salmon was great today for the anglers who worked near the Black Can and near the Moss Landing Harbor. The bite was better for quality of fish at 36'49/121'51. The Salmon were caught trolling Green Kajikis, Glow Krippled Anchovies, and Green Krocodiles down 150 feet trolling. The Albacore were on the bite in the morning so some of the anglers pulled their gear and ran for Albacore. The scores ranged from 8-20 fish a boat. The numbers ranged from 36'42/122'24 to 36'34/122'23. There were fish caught trolling in at 36'44/122'17. The water was expected to be windy but the forecast was wrong. There were two big Seabass caught in front of the Cement Ship that weighed in over 35 pounds. The Seabass were caught mooching bait and casting Fish Traps. There was a huge Striper weighed in today that was caught on a bait near the Cement Ship. The Halibut bite was decent with scores of 1-2h reported from in front of the Harbor. The Rockcod fishing remains good of South Rock. Everything is happening so come fishing. Bocci Boy will have live bait available 3:30 am.
