The fishing for Albacore was decent for the one angler who went out to the grounds. The anglers started at 36'42/122'24 and caught fish at 36'34/122'26 which is about 30 miles from Santa Cruz. The anglers ended the day with 6 Albacore up to 40 pounds. The wind was blowing 12-20 knots all day long. It looks like we may get a little better weather Thursday and Friday. The Salmon bite was good at the Black Buoy at 36'51/121'53. I spoke to a boat who had 3 quality Salmon up to 25 pounds. The anglers were trolling the bottom in 150-170 feet of water. The Seabass are being caught of the Cement Ship in 50-60 feet of water near a ball of Sardines. The fish are in the 20-40 pound range. The Halibut was a little slower today but there were a few caught near Capitola. The Rockcod remains great near the Lighthouse in 80-90 feet of water.

I fished with my Dad and friend Ryan today and ended the 3 hour tour with 2 Halibut and 2 small ones. The inshore fishing for...... Read More
