Monterey Bay Fish Report 07-26-07

Bayside Marine

The Albacore bite was decent with the windy conditions making things hard on the anglers who went. There were scores that ranged from 3-6 fish a boat. The anglers caught fish at 36'41/122'24 to 36'38/122'26. The wind is expected to stay with us for a few more days. The good news is that there is a Salmon bite going on at the Black Buoy at 36'51/121'53. There were limits of 4 fish a boat and fish weighed in over 35 pounds. The Salmon were caught in 160-180 feet of water down 150 feet on the troll. The fish wanted Krippled Anchovies and green Kajikis. The water is nice on the inside so enjoy the inshore fishing while the wind blows on the tuna grounds. The Halibut fishing was decent near Capitola and Santa Cruz Wharf.
