Sacramento River Fish Report 07-26-07

Dave Jacobs

Andy Davey took a couple of days to escape the hustle and bustle of the daily grind in Watsonville, Ca. and instead chased the big bright king salmon on the Sacramento River in late July. Andy joined his son Andrew and Professional guide service's Dave Jacobs for some great salmon fishing downstream of Red Bluff, Ca. The duo hooked a half a dozen salmon while backbouncing K-16 Kwikfish with a fresh sardine wrap. Andy's king weighed in at 33 pounds and was the biggest salmon of the day. The Sacramento River salmon run will continue to build through October. Counts of salmon passing over the Red Bluff diversion dam are almost double of what was counted last year to date.
