Mike Keating docked his Spirit of Adventure at H&M Landing after a four-day trip that caught mostly yellowtail and small yellowfin tuna.
Ron Stacyk of Banning won first place for a 31.5-pound yellowtail. He said it ate a sardine on a 3/0 Mustad hook. He used Stren 30-pound line, a Penn 3/0 reel and a custom seven-foot rod.
Tom Ferris of Minneapolis, MN was second, for a 31-pounder. The third place angler stood in for a photo, but didn't leave his name or the weight of the fish.
