The Albacore bite was good for the anglers who went out of Santa Cruz. The best numbers were near 36'44/122'16, 36'41/122'19, 36'39/122'20. The fish are being caught on the temperature break where the cold water meets the warm. The Albacore are only out 16-20 miles out from Santa Cruz. The wind was blowing but there was not much swell so the water was fishable. The water looks the same for the next few days. The Halibut bite turned on today with numerous fish being weighed in today. Check the photos on the site it is time to fish Halibut. There were fish caught from the Lighthouse in 40 feet of water to Pajaro Pipeline in 50-60 feet of water. There were some Salmon caught at 36'51/121'53 but there was not a hot bite today. The Rockcod fishing was good but there was some wind making the drift fast.
