The fishing for Albacore was good for some and slower for others due to the windy conditions. The good thing is that the fish have moved in even closer! There were scores of Albacore being caught 16 miles out. The best numbers were from 36'46/122'16 to 36'42/122'25. The scores ranged from 5-13 fish a boat. The wind was not bad in the morning but the afternoon wind was up to 20 knots. The anglers who worked out near 36'35/122'40 did not do well. The fish have moved in and this is a great opportunity for some first time Albacore anglers to make a run. The winds are up but you may be able to make it out really early for the Albacore. The inshore action was good with solid scores of Halibut being reported. There were a few Seabass caught in the kelp edges near Capitola and a few Thresher Sharks also. I did not get many reports of Salmon but there are some fish in the Soquel Hole. Come fishing and enjoy the weather.
