Bass,Striper & Catfish are biting at Diamond Valley Lake, however, the Panfish bite is exceptional

Surface Water Temp: 76.3 degrees
Fish Plants: No more this season
Lake Hours: 5:30am - 6:30pm
Weather: The Forecasts show temperatures in the low 60's to high 80's this week. Wind has been picking up around 2pm.
Drink plenty of water and watch out for snakes!

BASS
There were a couple 5-7 pounders caught this past week, but anglers are catching limits on largemouth averaging between 1-3 pounds! People are using night crawlers and plastic worms in the green, dark brown, orange and pink colors.
STRIPER
The striper bite is still on! There has been many stripers averaging 4-6 pounds this week. Anglers are using kastmasters, flies and lures that replicate baby bass. Jesse Mena, pictured of Hemet caught a 5.18 lb striper trolling with white flies by the south east dam.
CATFISH
Anglers are catching catfish near the east dam using nightcrawlers, cut mackerel, shrimp, and flies. Jesse Mena of Hemet also caught a 6.08 lb catfish while trolling with white flies near the south east dam.
TROUT
No reports of trout this week. Typical bait for trout are mini jigs, powerbait and powerworms.
PANFISH
Panfish bite has been exceptional this past week! Crappie, redear, and bluegill have been coming in by the pound! The hot spots have been around the ladders along the east and west dam as well as the south west corner. Nightcrawlers are the go-to bait for panfish.
