Qualifier Crew
We continued the catching campaign with more coastal
fishing action. The day started off very nicely as crew member Tim
Walker decked a 40+lb Yellowtail in the wee hours of the morning. This
dandy of a yellow was followed by a 30+lb yellowtail landed by Carlos
Fernandez. As the morning continued we enjoyed a solid bite on the
yellowtail from 15-25 lbs. Then much to the delight of customers and
crew passenger Marilyn Mehlmauer helped the Q105 continue its halibut
catching ways as she captured a trophy halibut weighing in at a whopping
45 lbs. As the day went on we enjoyed a nice late afternoon bite that
continued until sunset on the yellowtail and assortment of other species
including another 10lb halibut. Dinner was once again a hit as chef
Chris prepared a hearty bbq chicken dinner with pumpkin pie for desert.
We now are heading north in hopes of topping of a a great catch with a
few delicious rock fish.
