This week has been pretty slow due to the weather. But it has picked up today and we should see great fishing conditions this weekend. The Crappie bite is on during the cool parts of the day. They are being caught on jigs, little grubs, and shiny lures. The Catfish bite is pretty good right now. They are taking Anchovies and stinky bait.

Photos: Pictured Above: Edison Bet-Yadegar of San Jose caught this 4.4 lb. trout at Hetch Hetchy.
Photo #1: Hope Appleman of Livermore caught a trout from the dam using nightcrawlers. Photo #2: Josalyn Coulter of Tracy brought in a 2.9 lb. stringer of Crappie with the largest Crappie weighing 1.5 lbs. from East Beach using jigs.

Trout can be caught in the mornings using Kastmasters and PowerBait. Black Bass are hitting Rat-L-Traps and Robo Worms. The Striper bite was not that good last week, but should be much better this week.
