The Bass bite at Lake Oroville is definitely warming up, plus reviews of other northern lakes

Hi Everyone,

Well as we all could hope for the Spring bite is on fire. Over half of the bass caught yesterday were over 2 lbs up to 4 lbs. We did miss a lot of bass due to the gale winds but it was worth putting up with it. As the Spring develops the bite will continue and get better and better. The lake is around 40 ft from the top and the water temp in now in the upper 40's to low 50's. The reaction bite will pick up as the water temps get a little warmer but they are biting on jigs, tubes, worms, drop shot, finesse jigs, senkos, swim baits, A-rigs, and crank baits ( moved very slowly). Blades are also producing in the right locations, like mud lines.

All parts of the lake are producing and not one arm of the lake better than the other. I am now booking for March, April and May. Check with me if you want a weekend day as those are filling up. On the week days I have more availability. For more information or to book your trip , call me at 530-872-0907 or email me at gandolfiservices@aol.com.

I will also be at the Chico's Sportsman's Expo on April 13 th. and 14 th. Come by and say hi and enter our drawing for a free trip.

Also, some of you know I fish 6 other lakes in the North State as well. Clear Lake is fishing really well right now. Bullards Bar is picking up. It can be outstanding one day and then not so good the next, but always worth the trip to one of the prettiest lakes in the state. The After Bay is now starting its Spring bite as well as Shasta Lake. Almanor and Butt Lakes will start producing later in April and May.

As always, it is my pleasure serving you on our beautiful north state lakes.

Best regards,

Ron
