Fish Report for 2-11-2013
Trout fishing was fair to good while Bass fishing slowed at Cachuma Lake
2-11-2013
Cachuma Lake Staff
Trout fishing was fair this week at Lake Cachuma as anglers were able to take home fish up to 6 lbs. Trollers working the northeast shoreline with Rapalas or similar lures got the bulk of the rainbows. Bank anglers had similar results on E Point and the Mohawk pier using PowerBait or inflated crawlers.
Bass fishing has been inconsistent. Some days limits were caught on jigs, Texas rigs or deep cranks. Other days anglers found the fishing to be tough. This weeks cold front seems to have put the smallies on hold. On a good note, Carp were on the surface all over the lake which made for excellent bowfishing. All other species were not on the report.
