Shogun Anglers have a screamer bite on Yellows
10-25-2012
Bill Roecker
"Our morning started off a bit slow today," noted the Shogun report for October 24, "but shortly after lunch our day got kicked into high gear with a screamer bite on quality yellowtail. We got the anchor down right about 1 pm and it didn't take long for the yellows to find us. For the next few hours the action was steady, with fish being taken any method we tried. Surface Irons, yo-yo jigs, flylined sardines, or dropper loops, it sure didn't seem to matter as the hungry yellows were snapping up anything that hit the water.
"Tonight we are traveling up the line in very choppy seas. Depending on what kind of speed we can maintain throughout the night we may or may not have time to fish on our way home tomorrow. Wish us luck."
