The Bass bite is red hot at Lake Jennings
10-20-2012
Helix Ranger
Hello from Your Lake Jennings: The colder days have dropped the lake temp to 75 degrees. So we will stock trout the week of the 29th . We were worried that the colder, dreary days might have an effect on the bass bite. The bass bite continues to be excellent. The drizzle did affect angler enthusiasm. One angler reported 20 bass on a 10" black power worm texas rigged.
Best Cat Spots: Cloister Cove and anywhere along the dam buoyline.
Best Cat Bait: Mackerel and chicken livers. Use scent liberally.
Best Bass Spots: Fish the weed line early and late with frogs. Morning Dawn worms in 25 to 35 ft. of water.
` Best Bass Lures/Bait: Morning Dawn or black power worms.
Water Temp 75 degrees.
Prognosis: There is nothing to slow down the good bass and cat bite until the lake chills way down.
