Lake Jennings had the best bass and cat bite of the year this past weekend

Hello from Your Lake Jennings: We had the best bass and cat bite of the year this last weekend. The hottest spot was the same for both in Cloister Cove.
Best Cat Spots: Cloister Cove and anywhere along the dam buoyline.
Best Cat Bait: Mackerel and chicken livers. Use scent liberally.
Best Bass Spots: Fish the weed line early and late with frogs. Morning Dawn worms in 25 to 35 ft. of water.
` Best Bass Lures/Bait: Morning Dawn worms and frogs.
Water Temp: 78 degrees.
Notables: Fri., Tracy Tryon Sr., El Cajon, 17.5 lb channel cat, Cloister Cove, chicken liver.
Prognosis: There is nothing to slow down the good bass and cat bite until the lake chills down.
