"We had a great first day," noted Red Rooster III skipper Andy Cates August 27, "with a mix of Bluefin and Yellowfin. Some nice fish mixed in with some fish up to 40 pounds. The majority of the day saw fish from 15 to 25 pounds and the afternoon brought us a five-hour drift that was almost all Bluefin.
"We are offshore again tomorrow and are bait actually looks great. We spent a lot of time yesterday loading the sardine and it has paid off so far. We had almost 200 mixed tuna for the day. Hoping for another good day tomorrow."
