"We fished yellowtail this afternoon and they were biting," noted Intrepid's report for Monday, July 16. "They bit the flylined sardine, the egg sinker rig, the yo-yo iron and the surface iron. It was all good grade yellowtail averaging over 20 pounds. It was also visually exciting with waves of fish coming through and boiling up on the baits. But the coolest part of our bite today was seeing fish eat the surface iron right next to the boat. Everyone onboard did great today no matter what method they chose to fish. The fish bit until dark. It was an awesome day. We are staying here tonight."
