Fish Report for 7-17-2012
Don't you hate it when you see the fish but they just don't bite - that's the Shogun story for today
7-17-2012
Bill Roecker
"We had another nice day out here on the ocean," observed the report from Shogun July 16. "Our weather today could not have been any better, flat calm seas and plenty of sunshine made spotting fish easy and there were plenty to see. About mid day the sea came to life and it seemed no matter what direction you looked, you could see jumping bluefin tuna. Unfortunately getting them to bite was another story. Multiple times we stopped the boat with tuna crashing in all directions for only a few biters. But by the end of the day we were able to string enough of these stops to put together a decent catch. We were also able to scratch up a few more Dorado and yellowfin today as well, hopefully a sign that more exotics are pushing up the coast.
"Tonight we are continuing to enjoy this beautiful weather on our ride home. Our next trip out is a 5 day that leaves on the 20th that still has some spots available, give Andrea a call at (619) 226-8030 and come get in on some quality bluefin!"
