Fish Report for 7-7-2012
A look back at the 2011 - 2012 Tuna Season
7-7-2012
Bill Roecker
The 2011-2012 big tuna season, from October to June, produced 620 cows, or tuna over 200 pounds for San Diego's long range fleet, according to my records. There were 11 super cows, including the runner-up 355-pounder caught on Independence by Mark Backes of Del Mar just before Christmas, and Tom Jackson's (Norwalk) Fish Of The Year, 360.2-pounder caught aboard the Red Rooster III on the season's final "June Heat" trip.
