Fellow Sportsmen,

I just finished 3 trips in a row. The spring run of bass has started and on Thursday Ryan,pictured above from Houston Texas landed a 12 pound bass that took a bullhead. I have other reports during the last week . A 31 pound bass and a couple in the 20's were landed. These fish all took live bull heads.

On the sturgeon seen the last 3 days it's been a typical sturgeon fishing Big ones and little ones and the bite is on and off. The highlight was on Friday when 11-year-old Ben with the help from his older brother landed a beautiful fish. Unfortunately it was a little over and was released unharmed. The water temperature is warming and I will be fishing sturgeon bass through April 28. It should only get better.

The best baits for sturgeon by far again have been eel and grass shrimp combos. And live bull heads for the bass. I will be back out tomorrow for another 3 days in a row. April is a good month! Last chance to get your sturgeon tag filled before I moved to live bait fishing and ocean fishing in early May.
