The Shad are up and the Bass are active at Lake Casitas for Ojai Angler clients

Guide Marc Mitrany and Guide Chris Diehl are seeing fish all over in shallow waters. The live bait fish "Shad" have came up, the bass love to go after this type of bait fish! Weather has been beautiful at Lake Casitas Recreational Area, temperature is in the high 70's.

Remember, dates do get filled for this time of year with this type of live bait fishing. Shad, live bait fishing is only offered when the shad are up. Usually only 3 months out of the year.
