Bayside Marine

The Salmon bite was near the Soquel Hole today but there were a few fish caught in 80 feet of water at Natural Bridges. The best numbers near the Soquel Hole were 36'52/121'56 and 36'51/121'53. The Salmon were being caught 80-130 feet down trolling the Kajikis, Watermelon Apexes, and Krippled Anchovies. You can tell from the photos on the site that the Halibut are coming in. The best bet has been fishing in 45-60 feet of water near the Westside of Santa Cruz to Capitola. The water was calm all morning on the Salmon grounds but there was the noon wind again. There was one angler who caught 3 Salmon in 20 minutes when the wind came up so you may want to stick it out. The wind is expected to start to laying down Monday so you might want to start looking up the coast for the Salmon. There is some warm water on the outside we will have to wait for the wind to settle before we go look for Albacore.
