Yucaipa Regional Park Trout Fishing Derby Results, January 9, 2012

There were 413 participants in the Trout Derby this Saturday, January 7th and the largest fish that were caught are:

Brian Carter, Ontario CA, in the photo above caught the largest fish which weighed in at 15 lbs. 10 oz. Brian fished the bottom lake and used an orange Shaun's Smoking Jig Z to land his fish.
Richard Valencia, Yucaipa, in photo #1, caught a 15 lbs. 5 oz. fish. Richard fished the Yucaipa top lake and used a tube jig.
Alex Cruz, West Covina, in photo #2, caught an 11 lbs. 8 oz. fish. Alex fished the lower lake and used a Shaun's Smoking Jig Z
Greg Schowen, Fontana, in phot #3, caught a 10 lbs. 12 oz. fish. Greg fished the top lake and used a Drew's Custom Bait to land his catch.
David Broadway, San Bernardino, in photo #4, caught an 8 lbs. 6 oz. fish. David fished the middle lake and used a power worm to catch his fish.

But I'm sure that everyone who participated had a great time.

Trout action was good Catfish action was slow Largemouth Bass action was slow Bluegill/Redear action was slow Carp action was slow No other species was reported. There will be a Fishing Derby at Yucaipa Regional Park on this Saturday January 7, 2012. All lakes will be closed on Friday January 6, 2012 in order to prepare for the fishing derby.
