Trout fishing continues to be awesome. Weekly and bi-weekly stockings have made for nonstop action for shore anglers, boats and float tubers. Night crawlers and Power Bait working well for bait fisherman. Trout worms, jigs and crank baits working well for those throwing artificials. Orange, Chartreuse and White have been the best colors. Fly fisherman using bead head midges in the flats continue to score big numbers of trout.

Big Trout of the week goes to Ich Kikmoto, in the photo above of Dana Point with a 12lb 08oz trout that hit Rainbow Power Bait off the shoreline in Zone 2. Tyler Noriega of Rancho Cucamunga with a 11lb trout that was caught on a green Power Worm at the boat dock. Calvin Droege of Mission Veijo with a 9lb trout caught on an orange Power Worm at three pipes off a float tube. Zach Morgan of Burbank caught a 8lb 12oz trout using a Power Mouse in the flats off a boat. Behdad Khojastch of Lakewood weighed topped off his 5 fish stringer with a 8lb 08oz and 6lb 09oz trout all caught on Trout King white mini jig dipped in garlic oil in the flats off a rental boat. Thai Dang of Anaheim caught a 8lb 08oz trout using an orange Power Mouse off the shoreline in Zone 2. Rene Hassinger of Riverside used orange Power Bait to nail a 8lob 07oz trout in Zone 2 off the shoreline. Manny Orozco of Wilmington weighed in a 8lb trout caught on a night crawler in Zone 2 on the shoreline. Stainly Ito of Torrence caught a 6lb 08oz trout using rainbow Power Bait in Zone 1 off the shoreline.
