500lbs of trout were stocked on Friday December 2nd

2,000lbs of trout to 12lbs in size will be stocked on Tuesday December 6th

Double stockings of trout last week provided for nonstop action for shore anglers, boats and float tubers. Night crawlers and Power Bait working well for bait fisherman. Trout worms, jigs and crank baits working well for those throwing artificials. Orange, Chartreuse and White have been the best colors. A good bite for fly fisherman using bead head midges in the flats.

Big Trout of the week goes to Wes Hollenbeck of Rancho Santa Margarita, in the photo above with a 12lb 0oz that hit a fire tiger Trout King jig in the flats off a boat. Mike Killian of Santa Clarita weighed in an 11lb 110z trout that ate a night crawler in the flats off a boat. Richard Saki of Culver City nailed a 10lb 06oz trout using a Trout King split color chartreuse and white trout worm in the flats off a boat. Michael Alaniz of Bellflower hooked into a 10lb 03oz trout using salmon red Power Bait in zone 2 off the shoreline. Shon Roberts of San Diego killed a 7lb 10oz trout dead sticking Power Bait and a peewee worm at the launch ramp. Doug Beard of Garden Grove weighed in a 7lb 10oz trout caught on a Trout King chartreuse worm in the flats off a float tube. Armen Melikyan of N. Hollywood topped off his 5 fish limit with a 7lb 08oz trout that hit chartreuse Power Bait off a boat in zone 4. Gilbert Rodarte of Whittier weighed in a 7lb 08oz trout that hit rainbow Power Bait in Zone 1 off the shoreline. Randy Bishopp of Mission Veijo landed a 7lb 0oz trout using corn and garlic Power Bait in the flats off a boat.
