Barn-doors Bite And The Calicos Are Fighting!
6-18-2011
Channel Islands Sportfishing
The water here at the Channel Islands is cleaning up, warming up and the action is getting hot. The Calicos are coming out to play finally with Capt John Fuqua on the Sea Jay putting 15 on deck today with the Island Tak close behind with 11. The Calicos aren't the only bass hitting the deck of Steve Kelly's Island Tak, he also put 2 white seabass on the gaff today fallowed by 3 halibut. The Coral Sea scored big on their overnight outer island trip with 12 flatties for 21 anglers. The Mirage was in need of a sheep dog to hurd its 16 quality goats followed by 13 mean lings. Overall its great rock fishing with limits being the norm and the quality has been great. We have boats running daily starting at 4am-10pm fishing outer islands, coastal and everything in-between. Call our staff today to book a spot or simply reserve you spot online. Get your gear ready because its fishing time!
