Excellent fishing today! Conditioins couldnt be better, and the fish were biting! We had 21 halibut and 71 lingcod to go along with 557 rockfish, 11 whitefish, 9 sand bass, 5 calico bass, 3 cabezon, 7 sculpin, 1 sole, and 4 sheephead. This was for 3 trips with a total of 76 anglers.. this includes a twilight, 3/4 day, and 2-day.

The stand out fish would have to be a bundle of 30lb halibut and countless lingcod up to 25lbs. Fishing has truely started to turn for the best with catches around the Northern Channel Islands turning heads.

Upcoming OPEN PARTY trips include our Father's Day Special tomorrow.. it now has 8 open spots. We have 3/4 day trips departing all week except for Thursday. On that day we have a full day trip abourd the Island Spirit running a "HALIBUT SPECIAL".

Twilight fishing is in full swing here at Ventura Sportfishing! *Every Friday & Saturday night departing at 5:30pm aboard the ISLAND SPIRIT. They will be targeting white seabass, barracuda, sand bass, calico bass, and assorted shallow water rockfish species.
