Fish Report for 5-20-2011

What's up with the weather?

The big talk this week was "how about this weather?" Very strange winter like storms certainly put a damper on fishing this week, but the 7 day forecast looks like the inshore will settle down, offshore looks good until Sunday, when more wind is back in the forecast for a few days. It is spring, and wind has always been a part if this season. As far as fishing, not much to report other than hopefully the barracuda that was plentiful in Santa Monica Bay will stick around, and we are also hopeful it will pop up in the areas we saw it up and down the coast last week. Catalina has produced some descent white sea bass fishing prior to the storm, and this weekend, the Western Outdoor News tournament will deliver plenty of hearty anglers trying to locate the "white ghost" at Catalina. Stay tuned to Let's Talk Hook-up and we should have a report on the tournament action Sunday.

Check out the new story and photos on the front page of our web site Let's Talk Hookup Link It is a story on Rock Cod Rick's trip aboard the Tony Reyes- fun time and great photos- check it out.
