After more than a decade without a true fishing, hunting, and outdoors show in the local area, the North State Sportsman Expo will take place at the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on April 9 and 10. Organizer Steve Kenny of Chico is a veteran local promoter, having worked for Feather Falls Casino, and recently put on the Redding Home Show.

Exhibits pertaining to local fishing, hunting, camping, and ORV's will be on display, and it will be a great opportunity to speak directly with top guides and other local experts all in one location. Just a few among those exhibiting will be Chico Sportsmans Den, Raptor Rod Works, Kevin Brock's Guide Service, Chico Rod and Gun Club, Glende Polaris, California Deer Association, Artistic Wildlife Taxidermy Service, Sierra Stream and Mountain, and even the Department of Water Resources.
