Steve Carson
Local hunters are expecting an excellent wild turkey hunting season March 26 through May 1, noted Dave Ebright at Chico Sportsmans Den. The current cold weather means that the birds will be staying on the roost, and it will be a little longer before they start to pair off. " Ebright continued, "Don't forget that turkey hunters are required to have a current California Hunting License and an Upland Game Bird Stamp."
