Trout action was excellent this week with anglers using Power Bait ( especially rainbow, chartreuse, salmon peach and yellow), night crawlers, jigs and lures to catch limits. Lots of trout limits many ( over 3 Lbs) were caught. Hot spots included the western and eastern shore of lake 3 as well as the northern and eastern shore of lake 2. Catfish were biting on mackerel, guts and shrimp from the western shore of lake 3 and the northern shore of lake 2. Bite over all was best before 11am with an afternoon kick after 2pm.

3) Young Jonathan Sanchez scored a 4 Lbs 4 Ozs rainbow on yellow Power Bait while fishing with his dad and cousins from the western shore of lake 3 near the drain at Jess Ranch Lakes.
4) Chino Hills angler, Tisa James, reeled in a 3 Lbs 5 Ozs trout using rainbow Power Bait from the eastern shore of lake 3 at Jess Ranch Lakes.

Catches of the Week:
Apple Valley angler, Antoine Sanford, scored a 19 Lbs 7 Ozs catfish using guts from the northern shore of lake 2 . Cody Jurgensen of West Covina caught his 3 Lbs 8 Ozs trout on rainbow Power Bait while fishing the north shore of lake 2 near the bridge. Eddie Rodriguez reeled in a 3 Lbs 14 Ozs rainbow using a Trout Teaser from the north shore of lake 2 near the inlet. Jerry Young of Apple Valley caught a 4 Lbs 7 ozs rainbow on salmon peach Power Bait from the western shore of lake 3 at the pump house. Mark Hull reeled in a 4 Lbs 2 ozs trout using a night crawler while fishing the eastern shore of lake 3. Fontana angler, Andy Martinez, caught his 4 Lbs rainbow on a chartreuse Power Worm from the eastern logged shore of lake 3. Freddy Soriano of Los Angeles caught a 4 Lbs 1 Ozs trout on salmon peach Power Bait from the northern shore of lake 3. Young Jonathan Sanchez scored a 4 Lbs 4 Ozs rainbow on yellow Power Bait while fishing with his dad and cousins from the western shore of lake 3 near the drain. Chino Hills angler, Tisa James, reeled in a 3 Lbs 5 Ozs trout using rainbow Power Bait from the eastern shore of lake 3. Hank Killian of Azusa caught his 3 Lbs 7 ozs rainbow on garlic Power Bait while fishing the eastern shore of lake 2. The Lakes' Hatchery stocks trout every Friday year round. This year the Lakes' hatchery is amping up the weekly trout stockings with bigger fish overall.
