Jess Ranch Lakes Fishing Report

1-23-2011
Jess Ranch Lakes Staff

No wind and mild 70 degree days in the high desert made for a slower than usual trout bite, with anglers using everything in their tackle boxes to catch trout. Power Bait (especially salmon peach, garlic, rainbow and spring green), night crawlers, jigs and lures got trout on line. Best bite was before 11am. Hot spots included the eastern and western shores of lake 3 and the northern and eastern shore of lake 3. Catfish were biting mackerel and shrimp from the western shore of lake 3 and the eastern shore of lake 2.
