The Freedom with Captains Mike Frank and Tom Lee are online everynight out of 22nd Street Landing in San Pedro, fishing San Clemente Island. With fishing on my mind and a day off I called fishing buddy Dougie Fresh so see if he wanted to join me on my quest for some SCI yellowtail action. With bait scarce we headed to Catalina in hopes of picking up some more fresh squirters before running to San Clemente. With marginal luck on the bait we headed off to SCI thankful that we had enough in the tanks to make a go outta of it. We fished hard at various areas of the island for 6-7 yellows, Ray Valverde's nice 20+ lb Halibut, a bunch of nice calicos and bottom grabbers and two black seabass. An awesome day on the water with a great chance at catching a really nice fish, who could ask for more. Thanks again to Captain Frank and the rest on the crew on the Freedom for another great trip.
