New Hogan Reservoir Fishing Report
7-2-2010
Bruce Hamby
Striper action continues to be good and very steady. Average catch is 6 fish per day, most in the 5 to 6 pound range. Shad and anchovies are working well, shad pattern swim bait has produced some fish early morning. We're working in the 30 foot water down 15 to 20 feet the first 3 hours. Later moving out over deeper water 30 to 40 feet deep. Deer Island, south arm, and in front of the dam are good areas to try. Water temperatures is 80 degrees by mid-morning. Clients shown in picture is Warren Cooper of Elk Grove and Matt Baker and Eric Cronin of Ripon.
